Homelessness Support & Social Welfare
for Youth Transitioning from Prison

At One Voice WeKare Foundation (OVWF), we provide dedicated support for young people with disabilities transitioning from detention. Our goal is to ensure they have access to housing, employment, education, healthcare, and NDIS services, helping them reintegrate successfully into the community.
Housing & Independent Living
  • Emergency & transitional housing for those leaving detention.
  • NDIS-funded Supported Independent Living (SIL) for eligible participants.
  • Assistance with securing long-term rental housing.
Employment & Career Pathways
  • NDIS-funded job training & workplace support.
  • Apprenticeships & employment placements with partner businesses.
  • Small business & self-employment assistance.
Education & Skills Development
  • Support returning to school, TAFE, or university.
  • NDIS-funded vocational training & life skills programs.
  • Scholarships & tutoring for youth with disabilities.
Driver’s Licence & Transport Assistance
  • Funded driving lessons & licence reinstatement support.
  • NDIS-funded transport assistance for eligible participants.
  • Public transport cards & travel training.
Mental Health & Wellbeing
  • NDIS-funded therapy, counseling & peer mentorship.
  • Drug & alcohol rehabilitation referrals.
  • Culturally safe, trauma-informed healing programs.
NDIS Access & Advocacy
  • For those with NDIS:
  • Plan management & support coordination.
  • Specialist disability services & employment support.
  • For those without NDIS:
  • Help applying for NDIS, including Access Request Forms.
  • Assistance gathering medical reports & assessments.
  • Appointments with GPs & specialists to complete applications.
